OFC copper with silver plating
Description
Our silver-plated OFC copper speaker cable comprises two wires. Each consists of 250 strands of varying thickness. These are grouped into seven conductors. Six of these, made of OFC copper, surround a silver-plated OFC copper core. The use of this precious metal, which offers the best conductivity of any metal in existence, ensures unrivalled reproduction of high frequencies. Their respective cross-sectional area is 3.3 mm², or 12 AWG. Despite their substantial dimensions, flexibility remains excellent. You can choose between a shielded or unshielded version.
They feature double insulation: a PE sheath insulates each conductor independently, and a woven PES sheath encloses them. This enhances protection against both external interference and friction. The shielded version includes a third layer of insulation, also made of PE.
We also offer a tinning service. This involves stripping 2 cm of insulation from the cable ends to apply a layer of silver solder. No more frayed copper strands that never fit properly at the back of our amplifiers or speakers!
